Brief

Location :

Designing a two-story villa that exudes a natural, minimalist aesthetic characterized by the use of earthy tones and organic textures.

The aim of the overall atmosphere is to be warm and inviting, encouraging relaxation and comfort while maintaining a sense of modern sophistication through the use of understated design elements and an emphasis on light and space.

Challenge

The challenge this project faced was maintaining the desired look and feel of a modern-boho beach house while avoiding the trap of it turning into a "sad beige" kind of home.

this challenge led to the incorporation of accent colors and decorative elements such as artworks and woven macramé

Exuding a warm and serene atmosphere by blending earthy tones and natural materials while featuring soft, neutral furniture with plush textures.

Designing an easily maintainable beach house with little details so it could easily accessible and used by anyone including the owner's family members and friends. Moreover, taking in consideration of designing the beach house to be renter-friendly in case the owner desired to rent it someday.

Concept

Layout

The ground floor plan of the beach house reflects an open and flowing design including a guest bathroom, laundry area, storage area, a maid's bedroom with its own bathroom alongside with the living area which features a cozy selection of furniture connecting seamlessly with the open kitchen and dining island.

The outdoor zone holds a pool surrounded by a spacious pool deck perfect for sunbathing or relaxing alongside with a convenient vestier and shower area nearby ensuring easy and private access. Moreover, an inviting outdoor seating area is designed with easy access to the BBQ area creating a social hub for outdoor gatherings.

The first floor plan of the beach house showcases a well-organized layout that maximizes functionality and comfort. The master suite includes a king-sized bed alongside with the master bathroom, featuring a large jacuzzi and a vanity area. The master suite opens onto a balcony perfect for enjoying the outdoor view. The second bedroom features twin single beds, a wardrobe, and a bathroom.

The roof plan of the beach house consists of a spacious bedroom with its open plan bathroom. Moreover, the roof features a cozy and well-organized outdoor living space including comfortable seating area with an adjacent dining area overlooking the view creating a perfect setting for relaxation or gatherings.

Implementation

Enhancing the calm, contemporary aesthetic by using organic-shaped light fixtures and a mix of modern and rustic elements to create inviting functional spaces with subtle lighting and decor.

The furniture selection is simple yet refined with clean lines and a focus on natural materials like wood and woven elements.

The color scheme centers around soft beiges, warm wood, taupe, and muted whites which create a soothing, balanced atmosphere.

The outdoor landscape area of the beach house is designed to provide seamless circulation and functional zones. The arrangement of the landscaping enhances both movement and usability, connecting each zone smoothly while offering privacy through surrounding trees and greenery.
